Programs Programs focus on public policy issues of concern to women. Each meeting is devoted to a specific topic, presented speakers drawn from the wealth of public and private resources in the Washington area. Speakers have included representatives from the White House, Congress, academe, and professional or advocacy organizations. Informal discussion is a highlight of each meeting.
Meetings We meet the fourth Tuesday of each month (except December, July, and August) from 12 noon to 1:30pm at One Dupont Circle, NW, 8th floor conference room in the offices of the American Council on Education in downtown Washington. Attendees bring a brown bag lunch; soft drinks are available from a machine. We usually present two speakers on different aspects of the same topic, followed by a question and answer period after their presentations. Exchange conversation with other committed activists who have their own special perspective on today’s issues. Meetings are free and open to the public and reservations are not required. A photo ID must be shown at the security desk of One Dupont Circle. Please allow time to go through the sign-in system. In case of bad weather and closing of government offices, the CWI meeting will be cancelled. For details about our next meeting, click here.
